Woodlands Trees and woodland are a vital ingredient of our special landscapes. SWPLF is working with the Forestry Commission to ensure co-ordinated delivery of shared objectives as articulated in the SW Woodland and Forestry Framework and through the AONB and NPA Management Plans. Regional W&FF Delivery Group - SWPLF represent SW AONBs/NPAs on the Regional Woodland and Forestry Framework Implementation Plan Delivery Group.
Off Road Cycling 1 South West - 'Adventure Cycling' SWPL is managing the Protected Landscapes Business Plan that forms part of the 1 South West Off-Road Cycling Project. A project invested in under the Rural Development Programme for England to a total value of £4.6million. SWPL has already awarded the 1 South West Web Map contract to develop an interactive online mapping platform promoting off road cycling and associated tourism businesses across the south west region. The Adventure Cycle Web map was launched on October 21st
With the Web Map platform completed we are now looking to let a survey contract that will provide the data to populate Web Map with a wide range of useful and relevant cycling information. in 2011-12 SWPLF is managing the 1SW RDPE Investment in cycling "hub" infrastructure across the regions protected landscapes. Find below the revised proposal for bidding together with a short bid form. Two rounds of bidding are set. the first deadline being September 30th 2011. the second will be Feb 28th 2012. The SWPLF Project Group will meet on October 4th to assess projects and agree any expenditure. Please make sure you have read the 1SW Business Plan and that your project conforms with RDPE requirements:
