Cultural Olympiad in the SW

SWPL is leading for SW AONBs/NPAs on engagment in the Cultural Olympiad. Details of the engagement with Cultural Olympiad were produced in April 2008. SWPL will be developing a submission during Spring 2008:

 

Diversity work

SWPL is working to support and co-ordinate work across SW AONBs/NPAs that aim to tackle barriers to wider participation in outdoor recreation. SWPL commissioned a study of "under-represented Groups and Outdoor Recreation" in 2007 and has held two workshops to promote joint action:

Natural England in the South West

 

SWPLF is actively working with the Integrated Agency partners to ensure that the needs of nationally designated areas are fully integrated into the workings of Natural England and that new regional structures and working practices serve the needs of Protected Landscapes.

Shared priorities

The SWPLF is working to help promote joint working to deliver AONB and NPA Management Plan actions through focusing on and prioritising common objectives identified in regional strategies.

 

Prospectus for Protected Landscapes in the South West - Action Plan

The Prospectus was produced by a task group drawn from the key regional agencies and launched at the Eden Project on April 29th 2004. The 10 point action plan was reviewed by all partners in October 2005 and a revised action plan is produced.
