Objective Regional Summary of Key Actions

AONBs/NPs where the natural features, species and habitats are identified, protected and actively conserved; where biodiversity has been maintained and improved on a sustainable basis; where the amount of land within conservation management has increased.

Develop and support landscape-scale initiatives to restore UK BAP priority Habitats, conserve associated species and increase resilience to climate change.

Provide targeted and co-ordinated whole farm advice to support landowners and managers on best practice biodiversity management.

Support the survey and management of threatened biodiversity features, incl ponds, orchards and ancient hedgerows.

Investigate new opportunities for habitat creation.
