Community based initiatives that promote sustainable lifestyles, such as energy efficiency, sustainable building and renovation, allotment gardening, and alternative transport options to the private car, will be supported and promoted.
Community facilities and activities which reinforce the cultural traditions of the AONB/NP such as events, fairs, regattas, competitions, parish maps, clubs, arts, crafts and trades will be supported and fostered.
Local communities have access to appropriate local facilities, services and amenities.
Increase the opportunities for volunteering and the range of people participating, to benefit the environment, peoples well being and the local community.
Link local people with their immediate area through community projects that have mutual environment and community benefit through using tools to assist parishes and community groups plan and deliver a sustainable future that fully recognises the public benefits provided by their natural environment will be promoted.
