The maintenance of a vital, dynamic, stable and meaningful Partnerships which can sustain the core purposes of the AONB/NP, be ‘ambassadors’ for the designation, ensure that key issues receive proper debate and there remains a strong and evolving policy framework for the designation.
The AONB/NP designation is properly recognised and valued by all those undertaking work within the landscape, so that the "duty to have regard" is properly enacted and that standards of work reflect the needs of the AONB/NP. |
Encourage co-ordination, joint-working and partnership among the wide range of national and regional agencies, local authorities and organisations to enhance the status, identity and awareness of the AONB/NP.
Continually monitor the effectiveness of the Partnership so that it remains fit for purpose.
Ensure that the Partnership remains a dynamic organisation and one representative of the area.
Ensure wide awareness about the designation within all bodies exerting an influence over the area.
Build protocols with all those statutory undertakers and external bodies having duties under the CRoW & Environment Acts to have regard for the purposes of the AONB/NP.
Play a full part in the community planning, market town, parish plan, integrated area plans and other processes.
Ensure that the AONB is represented on key bodies with area wide and landscape interests. |
